I help you to find meaning. I think with you about how your past might affect the present. I am alongside you in your grief. Together, we can examine your fears and shame, untangle beliefs that no longer serve you, and build your muscle for self-compassion. I might also invite you to give attention to what is happening in your body when you are experiencing emotions, as the body is a remarkable access point into feelings.
What is created through therapy is a relationship. I therefore use the relationship we build together as a doorway into understanding other relationships in your life. My hope is that through working with me, you will get to know yourself better and, in doing so, come into greater contact with your vitality, creativity and empowerment.
The stories we tell ourselves, and each other, play an important role in forming who we are. Some people have never had a chance to tell their story, some don’t believe they even have a story to tell, while others might need the opportunity to reorganise theirs.
I am here to listen to your story. Not the one that others have handed down to you, but rather the one that feels true to you, even if you are not sure it is worth being listened to.
